Preparations

So...I'm 3 days out from my chocolate free year. Honestly, I never thought this would actually come around so quickly. I came up with the idea of going a year without chocolate back in September and I wanted to start straight away. Only problem was it was about 2 weeks out from my birthday and I didnt want to not be able to eat chocolate on my birthday so I put it off until after my birthday AND my dads birthday :D I know, it was a little slack of me.

November 1st really had no special meaning behind it except for the fact that it was after my birthday, after dad's birthday and was easy to remember. I cant believe its so close now...only three days away.

I have been preparing myself for this for a while now. I have been eating sooooooo much chocolate, I'm pretty sure I have eaten a years worth in like 2 weeks. And now, for this weekend, I have just bought a whole bucket of peanut M&M's cause they are my weakness. They are so addictive. It's a bitter sweet relationship I have going with them. Bitter cause they are sooo unhealthy for you, but sweet cause they taste soooooo good :D Oh, its hard knowing I will not taste peanut M&M's for a whole year!! At least it's for a good cause...

Oh yeah, I should mention, I am also doing this to raise money for STOP THE TRAFFIK which, for those of you who don't know, is an organisation that aims to stop human traffiking. They also focus on stopping child slave labour, especially in the cocoa farms found on the Ivory Coast where most of the world's cocoa comes from. So, if anyone wants to donate, feel free!

blog again soon

  1. Hey Caitlin - what a great (and hard thing to do! Nothing worth doing comes easy!

you should add some links to your blog - one to the STOP THE TRAFFIK web site so people can get info and one to where people go to donate (assuming they can do it online)

enjoy the next 3 chocolatey days!
